The Main Point: A Priest Seated in the True Sanctuary

Hebrews announces its “main point”: believers have such a high priest, seated at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven and serving in the sanctuary and true tabernacle established by the Lord, not by human beings. The seated position recalls Psalm 110:1 and signals royal exaltation, while the sanctuary language introduces the heavenly dimension of priestly ministry. Hebrews is not saying the earthly tabernacle was false. It was God-given; “true” here points to the ultimate heavenly reality to which the earthly sanctuary corresponded.
