Psalms 96:2–9
Psalm 96 summons all the earth to sing to the LORD, publish His salvation, and declare His glory among the nations because He alone made the heavens. The global mission language provides an important canonical backdrop for the worldwide proclamation of the gospel. Revelation also shares some of this psalm’s worship vocabulary, but not every parallel rises to the level of a direct quotation.
Revelation 7:12 probably reuses Psalm 96’s worship vocabulary of blessing, glory, strength, and praise within the throne-room doxology. The language belongs to a broad biblical worship tradition, so the connection is best kept probable rather than certain or exclusive.
Revelation 19:1’s worldwide praise and salvation language probably participates in Psalm 96’s call to declare the LORD’s salvation and glory among the nations. The correspondence fits Revelation’s larger habit of drawing worship vocabulary from the Psalter without requiring a direct quotation.
