Twelve Gates and the Name: The LORD Is There
The city has twelve gates named for Israel’s tribes, and the book ends by giving the city a new name: “The LORD Is There.” Revelation 21–22 develops the same presence-centered hope in the New Jerusalem, where God and the Lamb are its temple and light. Ezekiel’s phrase is the city’s theological name, not an explicit statement that “YHWH-shammah” is a personal name of Jesus.
