Psalms 93:1
Psalm 93 opens with the enthronement cry that the LORD reigns, clothed with majesty and strength. His throne is established from of old; He is from everlasting. Later Christian confession of Christ’s everlasting kingdom stands within this biblical theology of divine kingship, but these verses first proclaim the LORD’s own eternal sovereignty.
Revelation 19:6’s acclamation that the Lord God omnipotent reigns strongly echoes the enthronement formula “The LORD reigneth” found in Psalm 93 and related kingship Psalms. Revelation places that ancient royal confession at the climax of heavenly praise.
