Revelation 2:26–27
Revelation 2:18–29 addresses Thyatira through the Son of God, whose eyes are like fire and whose feet are like fine brass. The church’s love and service are acknowledged, but tolerated teaching that leads toward idolatry and immorality is judged. Those who hold fast are promised authority over the nations and the morning star, linking endurance now with Christ’s coming reign.
Revelation 2:26–27 applies Psalm 2’s iron-rod rule over the nations to Christ and, by participation, to those who conquer with him. The passage therefore extends the Psalm’s messianic kingship into the identity and vocation of the faithful.
Acts 4 applies Psalm 2 to opposition against Jesus and his Anointed rule; Revelation 2 returns to Psalm 2’s iron-rod kingship in the victorious Messiah’s reign shared with his people.
