The Shame of Idolatry

Judgment turns Judah’s idolatry into public disgrace: the bones of kings, priests, prophets, and people are exposed before the heavenly bodies they had worshiped. The chapter then asks why this people perpetually slides backward. Even the stork and migratory birds know their seasons, while Judah rejects the LORD’s judgment and the scribes handle the law falsely.
