Hebrews directly quotes God’s warning to Moses to make the sanctuary according to the pattern shown on the mountain and interprets the earthly priestly ministry as a copy and shadow of heavenly things. This is one of the clearest explicit New Testament uses of the Exodus tabernacle instructions.

Hebrews identifies Jesus as mediator of the better covenant promised in Jeremiah; Nehemiah’s sincere but ultimately failed written covenant-renewal cycle makes the need for that better covenant visible inside Israel’s story. The relationship is Christological consummation of the new-covenant trajectory, not a direct New Testament interpretation of Nehemiah.

Hebrews explicitly quotes Jeremiah’s new-covenant promise and presents Christ as mediator of the better covenant.
