The Heavenly Sanctuary Opens and Fills with Glory-Smoke
Revelation 15:5–8 opens the heavenly “temple of the tabernacle of the testimony” and fills the sanctuary with smoke from God’s glory and power. The imagery belongs to a strong biblical sanctuary pattern: the tabernacle in Exodus 40 and Solomon’s temple in 1 Kings 8 are filled by the divine glory in ways that prevent ordinary entry, while Isaiah 6 also joins heavenly holiness with a smoke-filled house. Revelation gathers that scriptural imagery into its final-plague scene, presenting the coming judgments from within the setting of God’s holy presence and authority.
