Worship Our Maker, Shepherd of His People
The worshipers bow before their Maker because they are His people and the sheep of His hand. That shepherd language naturally belongs to the larger biblical trajectory that reaches Jesus’ Good Shepherd teaching. The verse also introduces the decisive word “Today,” which Hebrews repeatedly treats as a living divine address to later hearers.
