The Priestly Garments – Clothed in Holiness
The craftsmen made the garments for Aaron and his sons exactly as the Lord commanded Moses. The ephod was woven with gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, with finely twisted linen. The breastpiece was mounted with twelve precious stones, each engraved with the name of one of the tribes of Israel, symbolizing that the High Priest bore the people on his heart before the Lord. They also fashioned the robe, tunics, turbans, and sashes, along with the gold plate inscribed 'Holy to the Lord' fastened to the turban.
