The Burnt and Fellowship Offerings – A Life Fully Offered to God
After the sin offering, a ram was brought for a burnt offering—again with hands laid on its head before being sacrificed. The entire animal was burned on the altar, a symbol of complete devotion and surrender. Nothing was held back. It was a fragrant aroma to the Lord, pleasing in its totality.
A second ram, called the ram of ordination, was also offered. Its blood was applied to the right ear, thumb, and big toe of Aaron and his sons, signifying that their hearing, their work, and their walk were now consecrated to God. Parts of the ram were then waved before the Lord and consumed in a sacred meal—symbolizing communion between God and His priests.
