Holy Crowns and Sacred Tunics – Set Apart for Glory
The robe of the ephod was entirely blue, its hem decorated with alternating bells and pomegranates—symbols of life, fruitfulness, and sound. The golden bells made noise as the high priest moved within the sanctuary, a sign that he was alive and active before the Lord. The pomegranates symbolized abundance and the fruitfulness of a life lived in the presence of God.
Most sacred was the engraved golden plate—fastened to the priest’s turban—reading: “HOLY TO THE LORD.” This inscription declared the identity and purpose of the priest. He was not his own; he was set apart.
