Praise Among the Nations and Mercy to David’s Seed
The song closes with public praise to the living LORD. David vows to confess God among the nations and ends by celebrating great salvation and covenant mercy to the LORD’s king, to David, and to his seed forever. The New Testament reuses this song’s Gentile-praise line and reopens its Davidic salvation imagery around Christ, including the “horn of salvation” announced in David’s house.
