The Allotment for the Tribe of Judah
Joshua 15 details Judah’s inheritance, Caleb’s possession of Hebron and Debir, and the extensive city lists that define Judah’s territory. The chapter closes by noting the continuing Jebusite presence in Jerusalem.
Judah’s detailed boundaries belong to the larger land-bounding work Moses prescribed for Canaan. The relationship moves from national boundary promise to concrete tribal subdivision inside that same land, showing the inheritance becoming administratively real.
