Christ Enters the Greater Tabernacle with His Own Blood
The contrast now turns explicitly to Christ. As high priest of the good things now realized, he enters through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands and not part of the created sanctuary system. He enters not by goat and calf blood but through his own blood, obtaining eternal redemption. Hebrews then argues from lesser to greater: if animal rites such as blood and the ashes of a heifer sanctified for ritual cleansing, how much more will Christ’s self-offering through the eternal Spirit cleanse the conscience from dead works to serve the living God? The comparison honors the ritual’s God-given function while insisting on Christ’s deeper and final efficacy.
