The Grace Given to the Macedonian Churches
Paul presents the Macedonian churches as an example of grace: severe affliction and deep poverty overflowed in rich generosity. They gave willingly, even begging for the privilege of sharing in the relief of the saints, and first gave themselves to the Lord and then to the apostolic mission.
