Discipline, Children, Vision, Law, and Servants
Children and servants require formation rather than neglect, and unchecked wickedness multiplies public transgression. Where prophetic vision is absent people cast off restraint, but blessedness is tied to keeping the law; wisdom requires both revelation and disciplined response.
Proverbs 29:18 says that where there is no vision the people cast off restraint, but one who keeps the law is blessed; 1 Samuel describes a period when the word of the LORD was precious and there was no open vision.
