Wisdom, Patience, Kings, and a Prudent Wife
Getting wisdom is described as loving one’s own life. The wise slow anger, understand royal power, and recognize that household realities matter: material inheritance may come from parents, but a prudent spouse is explicitly called a gift from the LORD.
Genesis 2 presents the woman as God’s fitting provision for the man’s aloneness; Proverbs 19:14 calls a prudent wife “from the LORD.” The wisdom saying therefore develops the creation theology of marriage as divine gift without promising that every marriage circumstance unfolds identically.
