Honest Scales, Integrity, and Deliverance
A false balance brings economics into the sphere of worship: honest weights delight the LORD. Pride, riches, integrity, righteousness, and deliverance are then set against one another, insisting that moral character—not wealth—determines what can finally save or guide a person.
Leviticus 19 requires just balances, just weights, and honest measures in ordinary commerce. Proverbs 11 calls a false balance an abomination to the LORD and a just weight his delight, carrying the same covenant concern into wisdom teaching: economic honesty is a matter of worship and righteousness, not merely business technique.
