Wisdom Hath Builded Her House
Wisdom is now a hostess who builds, prepares meat and wine, sets a table, and sends messengers to call the simple. Her invitation is to leave foolishness, eat what she provides, and walk in understanding—a feast of life that deliberately prepares for the rival feast later in the chapter.
Wisdom builds a house, prepares food and drink, and invites the simple to eat, leave folly, and live; Isaiah similarly invites the thirsty and hungry to come freely, hear, and live.
