Remember the Covenant and Tell God’s Works
David gives Asaph and his brothers a song of thanksgiving that draws heavily on material also preserved in the Psalms. The first movement calls Israel to seek the LORD, remember his wonders, and remember the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Chronicler places worship inside the covenant story: praise is not vague emotion but a response to what God has promised and done. The reuse of psalm material raises literary questions that should be studied without assuming either plagiarism or fabrication.
