Apollos Learns the Way More Accurately
Acts 18:24–28 centers on apollos learns the way more accurately. Apollos, an eloquent Alexandrian Jew mighty in the Scriptures, arrives in Ephesus. He has been instructed in the way of the Lord and speaks accurately about Jesus but knows only John’s baptism. Priscilla and Aquila take him aside and explain the way more accurately. With encouragement he goes to Achaia and powerfully demonstrates from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.
The wider biblical story comes into focus here. The scene models teachability and distributed ministry: a gifted teacher receives correction privately from a missionary couple and becomes more useful. Once again, Acts depicts the OT as a scriptural road toward Jesus.
