Harvest in Samaria and Saviour of the World
The woman becomes a witness to her town: “Come, see a man” echoes the invitation language used earlier in the Gospel. Jesus teaches the disciples to see a harvest already ready around them and distinguishes sowing from reaping while keeping both inside God’s mission. Many Samaritans first believe because of the woman’s testimony and then confess after hearing Jesus for themselves that he is “the Saviour of the world.” The title expands the horizon beyond Judea and anticipates the Gospel’s final mission-shaped purpose.
