Matthew 14 — Overview
Matthew 14 moves from a corrupt royal banquet that ends in John's death to Jesus' wilderness meal that gives life to thousands. Then Jesus walks across the sea, Peter steps toward him and sinks in fear, and the disciples worship: 'Of a truth thou art the Son of God.' The chapter contrasts earthly power with Jesus' authority to provide, save, and rule the waters.
