A Daughter Is Restored after Twelve Years of Bleeding
A woman who has bled for twelve years reaches through the crowd and touches Jesus’ garment. Power goes out from him, she is healed, and Jesus calls her “Daughter,” commending her faith and sending her in peace.
Where this fits in the story: Levitical purity laws make prolonged bleeding socially and cultically significant, yet Luke’s narrative again moves from impurity toward restoration. The touch does not make Jesus unclean in the story; healing moves outward from him.
